Sunday Riley Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil
Sauce tests and reviews — all for you, Sauce Friends. As navigating in the ‘world of stuff’ can be both exhausting and very expensive, here at SAUCE, we decided to independently select and test products for honest reviews. You can leave a comment or your review on the product below so we can have a good ol’ chat about it.
My skin type
Well, I’m pretty sure that when it comes to the skin type, I’ve been blessed to have a normal one, however, that doesn’t mean for all dermatological mishaps to shy away from me: I do experience occasional breakouts (and, when it rains, it pours), lack of firmness, dull skin, greyish skin tone (probably one of the most annoying side effects of having extra white skin) and don’t even let me start on wrinkles — rhytiphobia is a real thing. So when it comes to skincare, I kind of like products that tackle at least more than one of my concerns.
What is this product?
This oil and I share a bit of history. I came across Sunday Riley’s Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil many moons ago when my skin was acting as a naughty teenager that doesn’t listen to you no matter how hard you try. Being quite an ‘easy-going’, natural product, my thoughts were that if it doesn’t succeed to do any good, it really can’t do any bad either — pure logic, am I right? And, of course, coming from the price point, I thought that the blend of oils priced over a hundred should be a miracle worker, no less.
About the beauty brand
Sunday Riley is positioned as a ‘yes’ brand that focuses on the glass being half full. Here are their main goals:
· YES, you can transform the way you feel about your skin;
· YES, you can have visible and fast results;
· YES, you can feel good about the products you are putting on your skin, because you trust that they are made to the highest quality.
What are they key ingredients?
Cold pressed blackberry, blueberry, chardonnay grape, cranberry, red raspberry, wild carrot, black cumin seed oil, broccoli and meadowfoam seed oils.
What is it made without?
Animal products, parabens, sulphates, gluten, soy, phthalates, essential oils, and fragrance. It’s created with 100% pure plant extracts, without synthetic fragrance, essential oils, or preservatives.
What does it claim to do?
Juno gives an instant glow to dehydrated skin by restoring and rehydrating the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
I have used it for…
I purchased my first bottle of Juno about five years ago and have been addicted ever since.
Is it good value for money?
It’s definitely not the cheapest option on the market but I’d say it’s worth every dollar you pay.
The final verdict
The case when the company’s claim actually meets the reality — Juno never fails to make my skin extra dewy and plump, deeply hydrating it at the same time. I use it in the morning and I use it almost every night but my favourite trick is to apply it right before foundation (works only for non-oily skin) for some gorgeous glow.
The answer is A
(A) It changed my life — will buy it again and again.
(B) It’s not groundbreaking since it does the job I’m happy to continue using until I find a better alternative.
(C) It’s not bad but I’ll only consider using if someone gives it to me free of charge
(D) Thanks but no thanks, this product is just not for me.
