Style Q&A — Annalise Sharma
Annalise Sharma is the brand manager for RUBY. Here, she shares her style ethos, how she seamlessly blends tailored pieces with feminine styles (which we happily took onboard) multifarious and incredibly cool. Take it away, honey.
Hi Annalise, can you tell us a little something about you
Hi, I am Annalise. As a proud Aries girl, it’s safe to say that I possess many of the impatient, passionate & fiery traits that the beloved ram is well known. My personal style is best described in one word: eclectic.
I love exploring new cities, I loved getting a feel for the way different people dress and have a new-found love for winter dressing - it was so fun being able to wear beautiful coats and knitwear to snug up for the eight-month long winter! I also fell in love with a few vintage haunts in East London that I would obsessively frequent looking for the latest treasures.
Do you have a style motto?
Stick to your own look and don’t get carried away by trends. I’m all about buying few pieces that you really love and will wear again and again. I avoid occasion shopping at all costs. Outerwear (jackets, coats & blazers) – they perfectly finish off any look. My beautiful black leather jacket will be my trusty sidekick for years to come.
You have beautiful skin. Can you give us a run through of your skincare routine and products you love?
I’m much more of a natural makeup girl and like to focus on getting the basics right in terms of my skincare routine. I became addicted to finding new brands in Paris’ infamous pharmacies and fell in love with Caudalie’s skincare products. I use their Gentle Cleansing Milk, Premieres Vendanges Moisturiser (mixed in with rosehip & manuka face oil from Isla & Olive) and Resveratrol Eye Cream daily followed by Glossier’s Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen.
I love a super light foundation so I can’t look past Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturiser in nude and like to have a bit of a summer glow so use Nars Bronzer in Laguna. Anyone that knows me knows I’m a total Glossier convert and use their Cloud Paint in Beam for a bit of colour on my cheeks (and sometimes use it on my lids, too!) and their Stretch Concealer.
