Sauce shoots : Sophie by Anahita Paul

Anahita Paul (aka Naaytu) is a mixed-media artist and photographer; her work blends painting, collaging, and photography, reflecting her aversion to committing to a single medium. She manipulates traditional editorial photos through analog methods, creating a unique fusion of teenage girl scrapbooking and creative director vision.

Here she shoots Sophie from Self-Agency in our first editorial for 2024 along with makeup and hair by the incredible Chay Roberts. We are obsessed with this editorial and clever take on mixed media art with photography.

“Upon meeting Sophie, I was inspired to collaborate on a non-commercial beauty editorial showcasing local indie brands in New Zealand. The in-studio shoot evolved into meticulous post-production work, earning the final set a spot in Sauce magazine.
