Navigating in the ‘world of stuff’ can be both exhausting and very expensive, here at SAUCE, we decided to independently select and test products for honest reviews. You can leave a comment or your review on the product below so we can have a good ol’ chat about it.

My skin type

Well, I’m pretty sure that when it comes to the skin type, I’ve been blessed to have a normal one, however, that doesn’t mean for all dermatological mishaps to shy away from me: I do experience occasional breakouts (and, when it rains, it pours), lack of firmness, dull skin, greyish skin tone (probably one of the most annoying side effects of having extra white skin) and don’t even let me start on wrinkles — rhytiphobia is a real thing. So when it comes to skincare, I kind of like products that tackle at least more than one of my concerns.

What is this product good for?

Basically, the most natural-looking highlighter I ever came across, which also delivers great results. It’s quite subtle but makes your skin look extra dewy and fresh nonetheless. Although creamy, the once applied onto the skin, it’s not sticky or greasy due to coconut oil in the formula that melts and blends in when comes in contact with [warm] skin.

About the brand

Once upon a time a famous makeup artist, Rose-Marie Swift, decided to create a non-toxic makeup collection to fill a niche in the market. The whole beauty line is made only using raw, food-grade, and organic anti-ageing ingredients. Brand’s ethos extends beyond it being healthy and pretty by honouring the planet that provided us with the ingredients. All the packaging is super minimal, recyclable and reusable. All the products support the idea of multi-functional use.

What are the key ingredients

Buriti oil provides vitamin C for antioxidant protection, jojoba oil soothes and hydrates and coconut oil is a natural antioxidant which helps protect against free radical damage and contains high levels of vitamin E, and lauric and caprylic acid.

What is it made without?

All RMS Beauty products are free of harmful chemicals, synthetic preservatives, synthetic vitamins, and genetically modified ingredients (GMO) etc.

What does it claim to do?

RMS Beauty claims to create an ultra-sheer, sensuous, luminous glow. (I have to admit it really does!)

I have used it for…

A month now, daily. Can’t. Imagine. My. Life. Without. It. Will buy it again and again and again.

Is it good value for money?

I mean… five grams for $67 seems a bit too intense, doesn’t it? But then when it actually comes to usage, you realise that you don’t need much of it and these five grams will last you months.

The final verdict

It’s - A

(A) It changed my life — will buy it again and again.
(B) It’s not groundbreaking since it does the job I’m happy to continue using until I find a better alternative.
(C) It’s not bad but I’ll only consider using if someone gives it to me free of charge
(D) Thanks but no thanks, this product is just not for me.
